What Is Binance Convert?
Binance Convert is a simplified coin-to-coin swap feature. You simply select the two coins and the amount, the system automatically generates a quote, and the swap completes instantly upon confirmation. No order placement, no waiting for execution, no need to understand order books or candlestick charts.
Here's how it works: Binance calculates a conversion quote based on current market prices, incorporating a small spread as the service cost. Once you confirm the quote, the system immediately deducts the sell currency and adds the buy currency to your account — all automated.
How to Use Convert?
APP Steps
- Open the Binance APP and ensure your account holds the coin you want to swap
- Tap the "Trade" menu at the bottom, then select "Convert"
- Select the coin to sell in the top field (e.g., USDT)
- Select the coin to buy in the bottom field (e.g., BTC)
- Enter the amount to swap — you can enter either the sell amount or the buy quantity
- Tap "Preview Conversion" — the system shows a quote valid for typically 5-10 seconds
- Confirm within the validity period by tapping "Convert"
- Swap completes instantly — the new coin appears in your wallet
If the quote expires, tap "Refresh" for a new one. During volatile markets, quotes refresh more frequently.
Web Steps
On the Binance website, click "Trade" in the top navigation, then select "Convert." The process is similar to the APP. The web version offers the advantage of a larger screen for viewing conversion details more conveniently.
Supported Coins
Convert supports swaps between most mainstream and popular coins on Binance, including:
- Major coins: BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, etc.
- Stablecoins: USDT, USDC, BUSD, etc.
- Popular tokens: DOGE, SHIB, PEPE, etc.
- Plus hundreds of other listed coins
Almost any two coins can be directly swapped without needing to find a specific trading pair as in spot trading.
Advantages of Convert
Simple operation: No need to understand order books or candlestick charts — even beginners can use it easily. The interface is as intuitive as a bank's currency exchange counter.
Instant execution: Completes immediately upon confirmation — no waiting for counterparty execution. No risk of orders sitting unexecuted for long periods.
Zero explicit fees: Binance Convert charges no additional fees — costs are included in the quoted price. The hidden spread is typically 0.1%-0.5%, which is perfectly acceptable for small transactions.
Small amount friendly: Supports very small conversion amounts — perfect for cleaning up scattered coin balances. Many users accumulate tiny amounts of various coins; Convert conveniently consolidates them into USDT or other major coins.
Any pair supported: Not restricted by trading pairs — any coin can be directly swapped for any other, eliminating intermediate conversion steps.
Practical Use Cases
- Quick buying: Swiftly buy a coin you're bullish on using USDT — use Convert when you don't want to wait for a limit order
- Clean up small balances: Consolidate multiple small coin balances into one, keeping your account tidy
- Emergency swaps: Rapidly adjust holdings during fast market changes to seize time-sensitive windows
- Beginner-friendly: Users unfamiliar with trading interfaces can quickly complete swaps with minimal learning
- Stablecoin switching: Quickly switch between different stablecoins, such as USDT to USDC
Important Notes
- Quotes have a time limit (typically 5-10 seconds) — expired quotes need refreshing, just confirm quickly
- Large swap prices may not be as favorable as spot market orders — for trades over 1,000 USDT, consider using spot trading first
- During severe market volatility, quotes may refresh rapidly with occasional instability
- Convert records can be viewed in "Orders" > "Convert History" for convenient tracking and bookkeeping
- If you frequently make large conversions, learning to use spot trading limit orders will save more money
