Deposited cryptocurrency to Binance but it still hasn't arrived? While this situation can be stressful, most of the time it's resolvable. Let's analyze the possible causes and solutions.

Step One: Don't Panic

Deposits not arriving is extremely common and usually doesn't mean your assets are lost. It may simply be that the blockchain network confirmation is slow or more confirmations are needed. As long as your deposit address and network selection were correct, your assets will most likely arrive eventually.

Common Cause Analysis

1. Insufficient Network Confirmations

Different blockchain networks require different numbers of confirmations before crediting:

  • BTC: Usually requires 2 confirmations, approximately 20-60 minutes
  • ETH: Usually requires 12 confirmations, approximately 3-5 minutes
  • USDT-TRC20: Usually requires 20 confirmations, approximately 1-3 minutes
  • BNB (BSC): Usually requires 15 confirmations, approximately 1 minute

If the blockchain network is congested, confirmation times may be longer. For example, the Ethereum network during peak trading periods can extend confirmation times from minutes to tens of minutes or even longer. In this case, just be patient.

You can check the current confirmation progress in the Binance APP's deposit records. The page will display "Confirmed X/Y" (X is current confirmations, Y is total required).

2. Wrong Network

This is the most common and most serious issue:

  • Sent ERC20 tokens to a TRC20 address
  • Sent BSC network tokens to an ETH network address
  • The deposit network doesn't match the selected network

If you suspect you used the wrong network, don't panic. Check the sender's transaction records to confirm the actual network used, then compare it with the network selected on Binance's deposit page.

3. Below Minimum Deposit Amount

Every coin and network has a minimum deposit requirement. Deposits below the minimum will not be credited and are unrecoverable. This is an irreversible mistake, so always confirm the minimum limit on the deposit page before sending.

4. Missing MEMO/TAG

Certain coins (such as XRP, EOS, XLM, ATOM) require a MEMO or TAG when depositing. If you forgot to fill it in or entered it incorrectly, assets may not auto-credit. The good news is that missing MEMO situations can usually be resolved by contacting customer service, though processing time is required.

5. Sender Hasn't Broadcast the Transaction

If you're withdrawing from another exchange, the other exchange may still be reviewing your withdrawal request. Check the withdrawal status on the other exchange — if it shows "Under Review" or "Processing," the transaction hasn't been submitted to the blockchain yet, so naturally Binance can't detect it.

Solutions

Step 1: Find the Transaction Hash (TxID)

Locate the transaction hash for this transfer from the sending platform or wallet. If withdrawing from an exchange, find the TxID in withdrawal records. If sending from a wallet, check the wallet's transaction history.

With the TxID, check the transaction status on the corresponding blockchain explorer:

  • BTC: blockchain.com
  • ETH/ERC-20: etherscan.io
  • TRON/TRC-20: tronscan.org
  • BSC/BEP-20: bscscan.com

Step 2: Check Confirmation Count

If the transaction is on-chain but lacks sufficient confirmations, simply wait. The blockchain explorer will display the current confirmation count.

Step 3: Verify Deposit Information

Double-check the deposit address, network, and MEMO are correct. Compare the receiving address in your sending records character by character with the deposit address obtained from Binance.

Step 4: Contact Customer Service

If everything above checks out but the deposit still hasn't arrived (wait time exceeds twice the normal range):

  1. Open Binance APP > "Customer Service"
  2. Provide the transaction hash, deposit address, amount, network used, and other information
  3. Customer service will look into it and assist

The more complete your information when submitting a ticket, the faster it gets processed. We recommend preparing: TxID, deposit coin, network used, deposit amount, sending address, and receiving address.

Prevention Tips

  • Test with a small amount first for initial deposits; send large amounts only after confirming arrival
  • Carefully verify network and address every time
  • Always fill in the MEMO/TAG for coins that require it, and fill it correctly
  • Save transaction records and TxIDs
  • Avoid making large deposits during peak network congestion
  • Exercise extra caution when transferring from unfamiliar platforms
