Keeping your Binance app up to date is important — new versions typically include security fixes and performance improvements. If you haven't installed it yet, Register on Binance first, then Download Binance APP for the latest version.
Android Update Methods
Method 1: In-App Update
- Open the Binance app
- If a new version is available, an update prompt usually appears
- Tap "Update Now" to download and install
In-app updates are the most convenient. The new version downloads in the background without interrupting your usage. Once complete, you'll see an installation prompt. The process usually takes 2–5 minutes.
Method 2: Download the Latest APK
- Download the latest APK from a reliable source
- Install it directly — it will overwrite the old version
- No need to uninstall first; all data is preserved
The advantage of an overlay install is that all data is retained, including your login session, preferences, and cache. This is the most reliable fallback if in-app updates fail.
Method 3: Google Play Update
- Open the Google Play Store
- Search for Binance
- If an update is available, tap "Update"
Google Play's advantage is automatic updates. Go to Play Store Settings > Auto-update apps > select "Over Wi-Fi only" or "Over any network."
iOS Update Methods
Via the App Store:
- Switch to the foreign Apple ID you used to download Binance
- Open the App Store
- Search for Binance or check the "Updates" tab
- Tap Update
Important: You must use the same foreign Apple ID that originally downloaded the app to see updates. If you've forgotten which one, try signing in with your foreign Apple ID and searching for Binance — if it shows "Update," that's the right one.
Via TestFlight: If installed through TestFlight, open the TestFlight app to check for updates. TestFlight versions often push updates a few days before the official release. You can also enable auto-updates within TestFlight.
Auto-update settings: After signing into your foreign Apple ID, go to iPhone Settings > App Store > Enable "App Updates." As long as you occasionally sign into the foreign ID, the system will automatically download updates over Wi-Fi.
Pre-Update Checklist
- Make sure you remember your account password and Google Authenticator backup — in rare cases, updates may require re-login
- Ensure enough storage space (updates are typically 50–120MB)
- Update over Wi-Fi to save data and download faster
- Don't close the app or disconnect during the update — interruption may cause installation failure
- If you use app cloning/dual apps, the main and cloned apps need separate updates
- Check your current version number (Profile > Settings > About) and compare it with the latest version published on official channels

If you're unsure whether your app is current: Open Binance > Tap profile icon > Settings > About > View version number. Then check Binance's official channels to confirm the latest version matches yours.
Troubleshooting After an Update
If the app behaves oddly after updating:
- Clear cache: On Android, clear the Binance app cache in settings; on iOS, offload and reinstall
- Restart your phone: Some compatibility issues are resolved with a restart
- Check network: You may need to re-establish a server connection after updating
- Re-login: Sign out and back in — this sometimes fixes display issues
If problems persist, uninstall and reinstall the latest version. Log in with your email and password to restore your account — all assets and settings are stored server-side and won't be lost when you reinstall.
